Finally Have New Rims and Tires On
Finally Have New Rims and Tires On
After a long process and a bunch of mix-ups, I finally have my new rim and tire combo finished. I decided to go with 285/75/16 BFG All Terrains and 16x8 Cragar rims with 5" of backspace. I also cranked the t-bars a couple turns. I'm a high-schooler and and pretty happy with the set-up and how much I paid.
PS. The tires are Load Range E, and say that they hold 80 PSI. What should I run them at (that just seems very high to me)?

Hey, not bad! Wish I had a truck like that in high school. If you cut the air down to about 50psi. the tires will ride smoother. 80psi is only needed when hauling a lot of weight. Don't go too low or you run the chance of getting a blowout, especially in hot weather.
Thanks for the advice guys. Like I said in the first post I am in HIGH SCHOOL so chrome wheels were out of the question, the tires alone were expensive. If I had money to blow, sure I'd have chrome wheels, but that's not happening. Don't know about the rest of the high school kids

nice job. i just graduated and i got some new wheels for that. but i had to buy the tires. and you're right, they arent cheap when you have to pay for them. i think mine were like $700 for the tires. and $550 for the wheels
