Need some verification

Guys, thanks for all of the useful information; I have a question for you all just to verify. I have a 2001 F150 Supercrew 4wd that I would like to upgrade the stock tires 245/65/16 to a set of new wheels/tires of the following setting: LT295/70R17 33 inch tires. Will I be able to add a simply 3 inch Body Lift and be ok? Honestly, I'm really just going for the look as much as anything else. The wheels I would like to get are American Racing Black "Crush" Wheels 17x8 5/135. Any advice would be much appreciated. I wanted to make sure I wasn't making any mistakes before ordering. thanks

depending on the backspacing of those wheels you should actually be able to fit it without the body lift at all...check with wandell to be sure, but you should be able to run that tire size no problem at all with a backspacing close to stock or on the stock wheels. A slight crank of the torsion bars might be required, but that would be the most you would need to do

I agree. You can fit those without a body lift using an 8 inch wide wheel if it has 4.5 or 5 inches of backspacing.

Thanks Guys for the replies. Just curious, if I wanted to give the truck a little lift look on that size tires, what would be the best route? I realize from what you say I don't have to do this. This is a wonderful site for information, I appreciate all of the help.

The least expensive would be a PA 3 inch body lift.

Thanks Wandell. I believe I'll go that route.
