Offset for tire/rim upgrade

I've got a 2001 SuperCrew 4x4 that I got new and it's time to replace or give it a upgrade. So I've decided to give it an upgrade. I've ordered a Troyer Stage 1 and I'm looking to get new tires and rims. It currently has 16" rims.

I'd like to get some 17" rims and then put on the 285/75 R17's. I've seen this set up on a few trucks and I like the look and don't want to have to jack it up.

So my question is, what offset or backspacing is required to keep it from rubbing?

Thanks for your help!

THe OEM backspacing of 4.5 inches will work fine as will 5 inches.

So what tires did you put on with the 20's?
Do you have a lift on your truck?
I'll probably crank up the torsion rods to level the front out but I don't want to lift it more than that.
Thanks!
