22" RockStar, Color Matched

1st This site is the best, lots of Nice Trucks and tons of info.

Finally got my rims done 22” KMC RockStar w/ 305/45/22 Falken tires. I had them painted to match the truck. I was going to drop the truck 2”-3” then after seeing all the jacked up 6” lifts with 35” tires, I have decided to go up rather than go down. I bought the truck with the intention of adding color matched rims and then I fell in LOVE with the RockStars four months later they arrived. I will post new pics as soon as I finish the truck. Enjoy!

That looks a lot better than I thought it would! It probaby would not have worked out with another wheel. I would suggest going ahead and getting the Rize 8 inch lift and going with some 37's since you have 22 inch wheels.

wandell, your the man i was not thinking of going bigger, but will look into it. Would i need to change out my gears for a 35" tire and for sure for the 37"? If i did not change my gears and went for the 35" tires would it tear up the transmission?

THANKS!

Ok, that is just SICK!!!!!!
love how good it matches. How much did u pay for getting them done?
any problems with that 6.75 backspacing?
And if u dont really have the money for gears rite now. Go with a troyer performance costum tune. Then later on for gears

1)about $100 to get the rims painted on top of the price of the rims about $325
2) the back spacing is fine, "I think?"

3) it's not that i don't have the money, (some of you will understand) but it's telling my wife after i already got the rims that i want to spend more $$$ on a lift and replace the two month perfectly good tires with 35" tires, and THEN speed $800 more on gears! Then I'll hear lets spend the $$$ on a dinning room set or some nice dishes or furniture!! Then I'll just have to put my foot DOWN and say "Dam Woman" the lift is going on the truck and we are getting a pool table before that dinning room set!!! A man has to just pick his battles.

You may be able to get by with stock gears and 35's, depending on your powertrain and how you use your truck. I have the 5.4 with 3.55 gears and 35's. I don't do any towing at all. If I had a 4.6 or taller gears, I would not have went with 35's. You will have to reagear for sure with 37's.

Nice! What a small world. Now I wish I just looked like I went to the gym, aah I’ll keep on pumping; it’s a great stress release. Holler back next time.
