HELP! How to install Lightning wheel steering stops?

Guys I bought the 18 inch lighting rims and dressed it up with 285/60/18 tires. When I make a sharp left turn, mainly a u-turn I could hear a grinding sound mainly on the driver side. I would like to install the wheel stops but do not know how to install them nor where exactly they go. I called jegs and they did not have installation instructions for that part.

2nd question: I used the original lug nuts that came with my 2002 2wd F150 Supercrew but would like to buy some locks for them. What size/type of lugs should I use? (I know the stem is 14mm but I do not know how long it is, but know that the lug nut should not be conical)

thanks in advance........

if your rubbing is anything like mine, it rubs on the frame rail just behind the wheel, and the sway bar on the front, depending on which direction im turning.

I might be able too look up some info in a bit. I definitely would like to see pics on the install tho, b.c this is something i need to do too

It is definitely grinding the inside of my wheel along with the weight. (not much though) I found the installation instructions but I too would like to see some pics.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Step 1: Properly support your vehicle and remove the front wheels. See your owners’ manual for correct jacking points.
Step 2: Grind or chisel off the production steering stop rivets on the inside of the lower control arms.
Step 3: Use a pin punch and punch out the production steering stops.
Step 4: Install the supplied steering stops with the internal tooth lock washer and thread locker. Torque to 28-32 ft./lbs.
Step 5: Re-install wheels. Torque to correct specification depending on stud size.
- 12mm studs 83-112 ft./lbs.
- 14mm studs 100 ft./lbs.

I just came back from the Stealership. Not a single "certified SVT" tech knew how to install these wheel stops.
The service advisor stated they can figure out how to install them and the cost would be $210.00 for labor. The part is only $30.00.
Let me see now the wheel cost me $100.00 and they are charging me how much?

Can't I just have someone grind the lower arm a bit to give me enough clearance?

The bumpstops are really easy to replace.
I did it on my Expy in about an hour.

Just use a cut-off tool to grind the old ones off, then bolt the new ones on.
That's really all there is to it

The steering stops are located on the rear of the lower control arm. It is a round button that is riveted to the lower arm, and when the wheels are turned to the lock the spindle contacts the stop. The new stop is a hex piece of steel with a hole drilled and tapped. the kit has two stops two bolts and a little tube of lock-tite. Remove the old ones, drill out, grind off, or chisel, what ever works for you, and bolt on the new ones, 20 minute job with tools tops!! I got mine from this ford racing distributor with my wheels. I think they were around $30 http://www.buyfordracing.com/index.php
