Red face 2006 Ford 150 XLT help !!!!

Ok, we are suppose to be buying a 2006 Ford 150 XLT crew cab on wednesday . Hubby is now giving me and the sales man grief... today it is the tires and sprak plugs ... the truck was used as a rental , had one own .. I got a car fax which is clean and the truck was serviced regularly and the dealer ship is also doing this before we buy it ..
truck has 36000 miles on it ... hubby now thinks that it needs new spark plugs and will need new tires ... HELP !!!!

Well how much tread is left on the tires? If it is close to getting to the worn stage you should argue for new tires, if not free at least at a healthy discount.

As for the spark plugs, not sure what to say to that one. Unless it is idling harsh or mis-fireing there is not need till after you put a years driving into it.

As for the spark plug issue? I agree with the previous poster, unless it's riding rough, I don't know why he'd want new plugs. I would take a close look at the tires indeed and possibly argue for new tread or a discount as 36K on original tires may be warranted as the stock tires probably are not the greatest.
