downsizing wheelsize, 17-16....

downsizing wheelsize, 17-16....

can I run 16" wheels on my 2001 Screw that came with and has 17" wheels on it? I think I can since I think some (or most?) of this era trucks came with 16's, correct? thanks a lot....

Yes you can go to 16" on your truck. Just no smaller.

ok thanks. I don't wanna go smaller than 16, there are just so many more and cheaper tire sizes avalible for 16's. I am gonna go with 16x10's after I install my bady lift. I'm not a fan of "big wheels" anyway, they don't do anything for me.

That's what I did with my 2000 F150. Went down to a 16" wheel, but bought a larger tire so my overall height was a bit more because of a bigger sidewall. The 16" tires were less expensive, and I put the money toward 10" wide Eagle Alloy wheels. No body lift yet, but I may eventually go to a 3" LIFT.
