Question Wheel Weights...?

im getting new tires within the next 2 weeks...and when they go and mount the weights can u mount them on the inside of the rim instead of outside...because they weights are scratchin my rims up...and if u can are their any downsides to doing it and does it cost extra or anything i need to be aware of...if it matters im usin stock fx4 rims (17x7.5) and im putting on Nitto Terra Grapplers (295/70R17)...thanks for everyones help...

Inside

On my last truck I ran 10" wheels by American. I hate wheel weights on the out side of wheels even stock wheels and have made shops put them on the inside when they put them on the outside after being told where to put them. On the 10'' rims my tire man used stick on wheel weights that he put actually inside the rim. The only thing we had to watch for was once installed you had to go down the road to make sure they wern't hitting any where, just spinning them on the rack would not do it. I never had a weight come off and I ran those type for 6 years, and no he didn't charge any thing extra.

On my wheels, they put weights on the inside rim, nothing that clamped onto the rim edge. They were stick on square lead weights.

I had to go back after about 50 miles cause my front end had a harmonic vibration at 50-65. The rebalanced all the wheels and rides very smooth now.
