7 lug with 9.75 - opinions and help

I would very much like to get a nicer set of rims for my 7 lug, although, they seem to be VERY scarce. Or very expensive. If I convert, it'll be to an 8 lug so i keep my tow rating - 7700 tow package. Can this be done? Are they the same spline? Same width, etc?

Also, what vehicles came with the locker in that 9.75? I need a locker, but can't find one in the junk yard, or on ebay, or just searching the regular rear diff sites. Any help on that?

I know these questions are asked about a zillion times on here, but i'm wondering if anyone has actually FOUND anything.

Aren't 7 lug wheels great!!!

You may already know, but Centerline probably has the most. Then Alba makes a few. Pacer, KMC, Ultra, American Eagle, American Racing each have one. Boze will drill a custom for you ($$). And I don't like any of them.

I have an '04 7x150mm drilling. Don't know if the new body style 7 luggers (17") are the same drilling as the '03 and older. Anybody know??

it'd be great if I could just swap axles with a junk yard 250 - 8 lug, but i'd have to do the front too... I wonder how hard that would be.
