I have been looking at getting a tire and wheel package for my truck. I currently have the stock chrome clad lariat wheels on my 2001 supercrew 4x4. I have 285/70/17 cooper discoverer stt's. I want to go to a 33x12.50 on an aftermarket 17" wheel, probably the mickey thompson classic lock. I have found a decent price on this package through an online dealer that will give free shipping but im not sure if it will fit on my truck. What backspacing and all that would i need to fit this combo if it will fit at all. The wheels are the polished Mickey thompson classic locks in the 17x9 size. Tires are 33 x 12.50 x 17 Interco Trxus (either the M/t or the STS). I figure if anyone would know about this fitment issue you would wandell. thanks in advance for any help you can give.

 

That combo will fit fine if the wheel has between 4.5 and 5 inches of backspacing.

 

will i need to crank my t-bars? they already may be cranked some im not sure. I have no rubbing whatsoever with my 285/70 coopers that are on right now and just from looking at them have plenty of clearance all around. I was thinking i might have to either crank the torsion bars up to compensate for the extra width or trim some of that plastic valance up front.

 

I doubt you will have to crank or trim with that combo.
