Nitto or Toyo

I've been looking for some 275/70-18 tires to replace my Conticraps and have finally narrowed it down to these two. Is one better than the other from a perfomance or milage perspective?
I seem to recall reading that Toyo makes the Nitto, but don't know if it is true or not.

As far as I can tell, they are in the same church, different pues sorta speak. It's almost like a Ford/ Mercury thing, look pretty much the same but each have a bit of uniqueness. I mean they are made in the same building I thaught someone said. They come in different sizes though from each other.

Yep, Toyo makes Nitto tires. Both are quality products.

Thanks for the replies. Pretty much what I figured, not a hill of beans worth of difference between the two. As always, I appreciae the help.

Just pick which tread pattern you like better.

I went with the Toyos because I preferred the tread pattern and you can't get the white letters on the nittos.

You can't go wrong with either tire, the tread design is real close but the Nitto's have a better looking sidewall. I've been having my Toyo's on for about 8k miles and no problem's other than a little rough ride. They are load "D" 8 ply. I run over a lot of junk around the pitiful street's in the New Orleans area and have yet to get a flat. Tough tires!
