Super 4x2

I need to know if this is going to work guys. The boys at the Off Road shop in Bel Air, MD told me that it will, but I would like the blessing of some of our senior members. What I have: Stock 2004 SCREW Lariat, 4x2 with no AS leveling kit. Here is what I'm trying to accomplish. Do you guys think I can get it done with trimming, or not. What reccomendations would you make so that I can make it work and keep the cost relatively around the same? Thanks friends!

What I want to try:
3" Suspension Lift
17x9 Moto Metal 951's with 4.5 BS and -12mm offset
35x12.5 17R Pro Comp MT's or Nitto Terra Grapplers

Can I make this happen or am I gonna need the leveling kit too? If anybody has a better combination to make a 4x2 look tough, I am open to all suggestions! Thanks!

You can do it. What 3 inch suspension lift are you planning on using?

just go with a 6" standard pro comp suspension lift. it will look alot more proportional.

I don't think 35's will fit on a 3' lift. I have a 4x2 with a 6' fabtech and 2' spacer with a 3' add a leaf in rear and still did minor trimming. I think it will depend on the wheel backspacing and tire setup you choose.

It depends on the backspacing of your wheels. Also, fabtech moves the front wheels out really far, which I'm sure effects rubbing.

A friend of mine has a screw fx4 just a 2.5 spacer and 35s with no rubbing. I would think a 4x2 with a 3 inch suspension and minor trimming would clear similarly.

I'd suggest going with a 6 inch Fabtech or Pro Comp lift. If cost is an issue, go with a 2.5 inch Autospring leveling kit and a 3 inch Performance Accessories body lift.

I got this from http://www.wheelsforless.com/Ford/default.htm

No modification is necessary for 265/70R17, 285/60R17, and 285/70R17. A 2" leveling kit will work for 295/70R17 and 33/12.50R17 as long as the wheel has a minimum backspace of 5.0". Less than 5.0" backspace will require a larger lift. The 35/12.50R17 and 325/70R17 are 35" tall tires and require at least 4" of lift.
I would think you'd have a tough time fitting those on your truck with just a 3" suspension lift. If you can, I'd save up and go with a 6" Fabtech, trust me in the end you'll be glad you did. I waited a year to get mine, could have gotten it sooner, but I wanted to save up and do a bunch of mods at once rather than one mod here, one mod there.

97f1504x469 i could only find the Diamo 17k in 17', 18', and 20'. I paid $1790.00 for 18x10 with 35' tires mounted, balanced, locks/lugs, taxes, and shipped to my front door. I ordered them from www.supertyte.com
