Got $500 and need better brakes.....
Hi all,
I've just jumped up to the world of having big wheels and now have found myself in the boat of running low on braking while just in-town and as well as towning a 7k lbs boat.
Like the title states, I have around $500 to spend on brakes, but need some options. I currently have swapped out the "dust machine" OEM pads with ceramic's to cut the dust down but that's still not enough. I see that Baer and Wilwood have kits but I just don't have $800+ bucks to shell out.
Are there any other options???(aside from slowing down, LOL!!)
Thanks for the response.
Andy

Try the Baer Eradispeed kits. They are cheaper than going with the full caliper set-up and do offer better braking. I have a set for my '07 F-150. I think this would be your best bet and best brake upgrade for the dollar. I can't remember how much I spent on the kit but try http://www.driverzinc.com for pricing.
