I have a 2004 SCREW 2WD Lariat, with an 8x7.5 factory rim and 265x60 18R tires. (I'm getting the 2.5 AS) I want to go up in size to around a 305/70 or 33/12.5 and keep the stock rims. Is this possible, because i'm having trouble finding tires that size that come in 18R. Also, if it is possible to go that big on my stock rims, will they stick out from the fender? I've been reading these threads for about 4 hours, but I don't understand backspacing and none of them seem to pertain to my situation specifically. Any suggestions as to what tires to go with?

yea they will fit when you get the leveling kit installed- should look great- look at the the toyo mt's and the nitto terra grapplers too!

 

I don't know of anyone that makes a 305/70-18 tire. That would be essentially a 35x12.50 tire. I think you would have rubbing with only a leveling kit on a 4x2. I'd go with a 33x12.50 tire

 

balog--u have 35's i see. are those mounted on stock wheels?? also, where did you get those piaa lights at?

yes my 35's are mounted on the stock wheels. one set [520's] i got off ebay for about 120 the other i had installed with the grille guard when i ordered my truck from the dealer.

you edited your post- so heres an updated response- I agree with Wandell-
not sure theres such thing as a 305/70-18
for a 4x2 leveled, i would stick to a 285/65-18 or a 33x12.5R18 for the stock wheels...

 

Thanks a lot you guys, you really know your stuff. But to answer my last question, will the tires stick out like Balog's do or am I going to have to put a leveling kit and combine it with another small body lift to sqeeze 35's? Also are 285/65-18s the same size tire as 33x12.5 ? Thanks so much!

 

No way 35's on 2wd with only a leveling kit.

285/65R18 converts to about 32.5"x11.25", but most call it 33x11.5"

 

I agree. Also, the tires are not gonna stick out using the OEM wheels.
