Not really sure what you are asking. Backspacing is just a measurement. All wheels have backspacing. Your OEM wheels have 4.5 inches of backspacing. Do you have a 4x4 or 4x2? What wheels are you using?
I have stock rims...im looking at getting new tires, and new rims If i get the 285/75-16r with new rims will they fit without lift? RIght now I am running 265/60-6r, will I notice a performance loss with running bigger tires? I was thinking you needed to get a piece for backspacing, but its already their so basically will these tires fit? my truck is 4x4 off road.
You can easily fit a 285/75-16 tire on a stock 4x4 with the OEM wheels or aftermarket wheels. If you use a 16x10 inch wheel, you will have to trim a little bit of plastic off your front bumper's lower valance. I have pics in my gallary of my Screw at stock ride height with 285/75-16 BFG AT KO's on the OEM 16x7 wheels and 16x10 Eagle 058 wheels.
A 265/60-16 is a really short tire so you would more than likely notice a difference with 285/75-16's.
