98 abs and brake light stays on

98 abs and brake light stays on

my abs light and brake light stays on all the time i thought it might be a sensor failure but there is no sensors to the wheels on the front or the rear
the brakes feel good and full of fluid any suggestions

You most likely have only rear ABS and the sensor is located on the rear differential housing and reads off the ring gear. They are known to go out.

Get the code read, th boys at AZone can't read ABS with their reader. Its probably the rear sensor [like angus 242 said] that is on top of the rear end. One bolt and one plug, a little pry and its out. Tech name for ABS on your truck is called the RABS system.

thanks for the info replaced the sensor no more abs light
