Load E tire pressure

Just wondering what everyone is running their load range E tires at. Is there a common range 42-45 etc... that people are staying between?

Rolo, the E rated tires probably call for 65 to 85 psi when loaded, but to avoid them riding like a rock look on the sidewall for max psi and drop them down about 20psi and see if the ride improves. I've been running 45psi in my D rated Toyo's for everyday use. When carrying heavy loads or towing I go close to max. Don't run low pressures in these tires at highway speeds in hot weather to avoid getting a blowout.

Load E is a 10ply 80psi max tire.

Load D is a 8ply 65psi max tire.

My Load C tires I run 45 psi front, 40psi rear, when empty. Just personel handling preference. When loaded down they are pumped up to the max 50psi.

I don't know why you would pump them up to the max. Load carrying ability at max is far beyond what your vehicle is rated for. For a LR C 40 is plenty, with or without a load. 45 for a 65lb max LR D or E and 50 for an 80 max LR E.

It is purely a handling issue. With a full load in the bed, plus towing a load, there is a big handling difference between 40psi and 50psi in a load C tire .... especially on curves and emergency situations. When using your truck ... like a real truck, you want max tire pressure.
