wandell tire help....
ok so again i have a 2005 supercrew 4x4 and im going to be putting on the 2" AS. whats the biggest tires i can fit on my stock KR rims (18") however i dont want M/Ts id really like A/T since i drive only on the street and no offroading. i really like the bfgoodrich AT but the only sizes i can find are 325/65/18 or 305/65/18 (which only come out to 34") i would like 35's if possible. any recommendations? thanks
You could fit 35x12.50-18's but I can't think of any all terrians in that size. 325/65-18 (35x13.00) and 325/60-18 (33x13.00) are the two most common sizes and they are a little too narrow for the OEM wheels. I'd go with the 305/65-18 BFG AT KO's which as you said are basically a 34x12.50-18 tire.
i guess you can't win them all....34" is gonna be close enough for me i guess....the bfg at look pretty mean compared to some other treads i looks at....so i guess im gonna go with them in the spring...alot of ppl report getting great mileage out of them too....thanks
Confused
Ok im confused!!!!! I was looking at the BFG Mud-Terrain™ T/A® KM LT315/75R16/D 35"????
02 F-150 XLT 4x4
Will those fit the stock rims???
Will they fit with a 2" level kit??
i was also told that i might need to change gear ratio if i want to go that big? do i need to go to a 33"

The 16 inch OEM wheels on your 02 are only 7 inches wide which is a little too narrow for a 315mm wide tire. They will fit but you will have some rubbing on the frame at full steering lock. If you are gonna keep your OEM wheels forever, I'd suggest the 285/75-16's (33x11.50)
I just got off the phone with 4wheelparts and they are telling me a 33x12.5x17 is gonna rub on both 17x9 and 17x10's with a 2.5" leveling kit??? Are they full of it and i should place my order or what? Thanks.
It will depend on the backspacing. Odd's are there will be minor rubbing with a 17x10. You should be fine with a 17x9 unless it has really shallow backspacing. Remember, they are talking about no rubbing. Shops don't want someone freaking out and wanting to return $2K or $3K worth of tires and wheels because a tire touches the valance when the steering wheel is at one certain position as they turn through a dip in there driveway and they refuse to cut anything on a $45K truck.
