Tire size question- 34"

Hey guys im new to the forum and trying to get an answer for yet another tire fit question. My truck is a 2005 F150 4x4 all stock. My question is will a set of moto metal 17x9 951's fit with 305/70/17 nitto terra grapplers (34x12.5) I havent seen anyone with this setup yet. Which backspace is correct for this setup? Also, will I need a leveling kit? Thanks for the input, you guys are awesome!

Okay, after another hour of searching I now think my best bet at fitting this setup is with the 17x9 with 6" backspacing. I see people have run tires close to this, but Ill wait for wandell's answer for this one. Leveling kit required?

I would say go with a leveling kit period, but the 6" BS will definitely work better. The 4.5" would not work at all even with the leveler.

They will be extremely tight. They may work with 6 inches of backspacing.

What is your best guess where I may have problems? Inside, outside, bumper...or is this going to be close everywhere? I don't go off road, just snow and jobsites so I don't think I would be maxing out the suspension travel. Would the height of the leveling kit make a difference, or a small spacer behind the wheel? Im not dead set on this setup, but I already have 285/70/17 and would like something a little bigger without lifting the truck. If not then im stuck with what most other people run, 33x12.5

The 305 tires are about 33.7 inches tall, on a 17x9 wheel with a 5 to 6" BS you ought to be OK if the truck is leveled. I had 315's on 17x9 wheels w/5" BS and the only place they rubbed was the lower wheelwells and the 315's were 34.5 inches. I put on some 285's and have lot's of room.
