Tires for 2000 model - sometimes tow

Newbie to the forum...

I have a stock 2WD 4.6L 2000 model ext cab. It's my DD and I drive about 100 miles per day on the highway. Occasionaly I'll take out our 28' travel trailer to a campground nearby.

I need a tire recomendation for something that would be quiet/good on the highway and also allow me to tow the TT.

We don't get snow here in SC so no need for winter traction.

Thanks!

Do you want like an all terrain tire?I have BFG AT's and they are quiet and handle very well. It does not sound like you need a mud terrain.

Michelin LTX M/S. 80k+ treadlife, quiet, excellent traction in all on-road conditions.

Try Firestone LE

I just bought the Firestone Destination LE's. They have awsome reviews on tire rack. I just had a big snow storm and they worked great in the heavy snow and packed sonw/ice. Good price and my truck feels like new again. Front end feels like it has a grip on the road when wet or dry or snow covered. You won't be sorry. P.S. had the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S's and was never very happy with them at all. For your type of driving you will really like the Destination LE's.

I'll add my preference into the mix... Toyo O/C A/T's.... got 60,000 out of the first set, just got my second. Great traction all around, but never had them in the snow... Look great, great wet traction.

I have my 2000 5.4 and have put what came on it stock which is the BFG Long Trails. They handle great and tow very well. In the first week I had the tires, I pulled about 4000 pounds and they worked great. They are very quiet on the highway and have seen them last 100000 miles on my dad's 2003 supercrew.
