Tires for 2000 model - sometimes tow
Newbie to the forum...
I have a stock 2WD 4.6L 2000 model ext cab. It's my DD and I drive about 100 miles per day on the highway. Occasionaly I'll take out our 28' travel trailer to a campground nearby.
I need a tire recomendation for something that would be quiet/good on the highway and also allow me to tow the TT.
We don't get snow here in SC so no need for winter traction.
Thanks!

Try Firestone LE
I just bought the Firestone Destination LE's. They have awsome reviews on tire rack. I just had a big snow storm and they worked great in the heavy snow and packed sonw/ice. Good price and my truck feels like new again. Front end feels like it has a grip on the road when wet or dry or snow covered. You won't be sorry. P.S. had the Goodyear Wrangler AT/S's and was never very happy with them at all. For your type of driving you will really like the Destination LE's.

I have my 2000 5.4 and have put what came on it stock which is the BFG Long Trails. They handle great and tow very well. In the first week I had the tires, I pulled about 4000 pounds and they worked great. They are very quiet on the highway and have seen them last 100000 miles on my dad's 2003 supercrew.
