I love my Napa Ceramix pads. Just make sure you find a rotor that complements them because they operate at higher temps and tend to cause warping for OEM and cheap aftermarket rotors.

As for break dust, I went on a 2000 mile trip towing my RX-7 on a dolly (no car/trailer brakes) and had very little dust. Also, the dust is not black, more silver/beige.

Looks like rotors are a little more expensive than for -03 trucks. anyway, $76ea for mid-level front rotors and $50-90 for ceramic pads. Check your local auto parts stores as well, like Pep Boys, Autozone, Advance Auto, etc.

I didn't want to mess with rotors and went with high quality semi-metallics. I chose Wagner Thermo Quiets, slpped them on and they have been perfect. Others have had good luck with Car Quest Blue Pads.

I agree with bluejay there, he's found sucess with Wagner, me, the Carquest Raybestos "blue" semi-metallics, both will please you. I was disappointed with ceramics, but would like to know myself who has a good set with alot of mileage. Personally I don't see the extra cost. When I had my ceramics, they felt the same as stock. Remember, brakes only work as good as the drivers reaction.

I put 30k miles on my 99 F-150 Napa Ceramix pads before selling to my FIL who got another 25k out of them. Replaced the pads for free with the lifetime warranty.

I've only got 5k miles on the new pads/rotors on my 03. These work way better than the OEM combo. The heavier 33" tires caused some extra stopping distance, but the ceramix brought performence back.

I've had exactly one problem with ceramic pads. They warped some $30 Autozone rotors in 8k miles. No problems with better rotors.
