Wheel Size Question, will 16x10 wheels fit?

Hello all,

I've got a lead on some 16"x10" alloy rims that claim to fit '97 thru '03 F150's. I've only a short time to make a desition and I don't know the off set or back spacing.

So I guess I'm asking for a "educated guess" from everyone here.

Will these fit my truck with out using wheel spacers? (I've also a lead on 1.5" spacers)

Oh My stock rims are 16x7J

Also what size tire would I have to run on a 10 inch wide rim? I'm currently running stock size 255/70R16s.

The truck sits high enough for me as it is, so I'm not looking to install a lift, also I'd like to fit them with in my wheel wells. The State Police would like that too. (though I wouldn't rull out a body lift)

Any and all information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Doug

Yep, you can easily fit a 33x12.50 (305/70-16) on a stock 4x4 using a 16x10 inch wheel with 4.5 inches of backspacing. You will have to trim a little plastic off your front bumper's lower valance for clearance, but that's it. I have several pics of my Screw at stock height with 285/75-16 (33x11.50) BFG's on 16x10 Eagle 058 wheels.

I don't think I'll be doing that as just to level the front with the rear I had to crank the right side nearly all the way. It wasn't far from it before I started.

My '97 Lariat 4x4 sits a good 2 to 3 inches higher than my B-in-laws '97 Lariat 4x4. So I guess I'm at the high end of the stock range.

Thank for the information, I've made the purchase and looks like I'll get the spacers, just in case.

I'll probably wait until spring to mount them though.

Thank you again to Wandell, Built54 and pkent03F-150

It's people like all of you that make this forum the great place it is.
