Backspace double check
Beatin the horse one more time... something is not right with my setup.
i bought cragar soft 8 series off jegs.com
jegs.com
Soft 8 397 Series Wheel
Size: 16'' x 8''
Bolt Circle: 5 x 135mm
Rear Spacing: 5''
does this mean that they really are suppose to have 3" backspacing or did they just confused me with adding "rear" to that? even so, why did my wheel measure out to be smack dab in the middle? meaning 4" no matter what crooked way i tried to think they meant by rear backspacing.
i believe fabtech 6" requires 4 5/8" backspacing. which means 4 5/8" in from the front of the wheel to the mounting plate. correct? which in my pea pickin mind means a wheel with 5" backspace should set the tire away from the body/suspension of the truck than 4 or 4 5/8" correct?
im rambling, im tired. hopefully someone can help me a lil.
