Question Help with wheel/tire fitting

I am a newbie! I have a 2004 F150 4X4 Lariat stock. I previously inquired about going with an 18X9 wheel with a -12mm offset (backspace 4.0?) and a 285/65/18 AT. Mange felt like this combo would rub quite abit. If I am to stay with an 18X9 wheel and a 285/65/18 tire, what offset or backspace should I be looking for to keep from rubbing? I would also like to keep the width outside the well to 2.5" max. I like the deep dish style wheel as well. Somewhat of a dilema, I guess.

Any recommendations??? Thank You

I'd use a wheel with something close to the OEM 5.5 inches of backspacing.
