allen wrench size for calipers

Hopefully you guys can help me help someone. My buddy's sis needs brakes on her 2004 Expedition. I inspected the front caliper last night and I did not have the correct allen wrench/hex key to remove the calipers to get to the pads.

I had a 1/4" which was too small and a 10mm which was too big. I have another set of keys at home, hopefully a 7/16th or a 3/8th will do the trick. What size is it?

I'm going to try again tonight. Anything else I should know? Other than that it looks just like any other front disc brake job...

Might want to shoot some brake cleaner over the bolts before taking them off.
