stock tire mileage - 04 screw lariat 2WD

i was wondering what kind of mileage you guys are getting on your stock tires. i'm right about 30,700 miles and mine are pretty much done. i have a 2004 supercrew lariat 2WD. have my tires worn prematurely? i'm not an agressive driver at all.

also, i took it into a local tire shop (to fix a slow leak) and they said the right side was worn more than the left. but i've had the tires rotated every 5000 miles (front to back) since they were new.

i received a letter from ford stating that the tire warranty was extended to 3 years/36,000 miles for uneven/rapid wear, vibration, ride harshness, etc. maybe i'll just try to get a new set covered under warranty... unless 30k is all they are supposed to last for.

Which tires did you get? The BFG Rugged Trail? Mine were nearly shot at 30k.

I have a 2004 Scab f150 2 wheel drive. I have 56000 miles on mine and am looking at approx 5000 miles left. I have Michellin tires from the factory.

I have a 99 F150 supercab 4x2 and it came with Goodyear Wranglers on it. Mine got just a little over 90,000 when i chagned them. I did rotate ofton and line up the truck 3 times in that time frame.

Mine came stock with General Ameritrac TR 255-70-17 and I have 30K on them (just changed them out for something else), but I probably could have gotten another 10K out of them.

My truck came with Continentals, XLT 4x2 Supercrew. I rotated every oil change, 3500 to 3800 miles. Just over 31,000, had maybe 5000 miles or so left. I drive a lot at highway speeds and they were about gone so when I had a flat, I bought Michelin LTX M/S and they are fantastic. So much better than the facory tires it is unbelievable.

I have 52000 miles on the Continentals that came with my 2005 XLT, can't wait to replace them.

05 Lariat 2WD w/BFG Radial Long Trail. I got 41K & I'm eyeing them nervously. They are pretty much a fantastically mediocre tire. I would never buy them again. I only want them to get me thru the winter since I'm trading the truck in shortly there after.

If for some reason I don't trade my truck in, I will be getting these:

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....speed_rating=Y

Pretty much the best rated & best priced tire in the stock size WWW.TIRERACK.COM sells.

KC-10 FE out...

I also have a 2004 supercrew lariat 2WD and I only have 23,400 miles on mine and they are about worn out. I'm disappointed in them. Please let me know if they cover a new set under warranty because of rapid wear because there is no way they should have worn out that quickly.

I had about 39,000 miles on my Conti-Trac tires before I replaced them... I got off schedule a few times with my rotations. Right now I'm at about 43,000 with the original 2 on the back. I won't replace them for another 2-3 months (pavement willing).

My basic XL still had the original Generals on it when I bought it at 55k. They were still legal but scary in the rain. I replaced them after the first rainstorm.

I got 25k out of the generals that came on my truck but I drive with my foot on the gas. Still they were cheap tires. I have never gotten too much over 30k on a stock set of truck tires.
