Does anybody know another way to get the spare tire down. I've lost the key and have a flat tire. I have an '03 supercrew. Thanks guys.

Paul, not sure about the 03's but on my 06 it is the same key to start it that gets the spare down. Other then that you may be able to cut the cable that holds it up there, drill the lock?

Opps, sorry-thought you meant for the spare lock. On my 2000 there was long rod under the hood that cranks down the spare, a tire shop may have one they could lend you.

 

try another key, we used a chevy key to get down my friends 03

 

On the '03 there is a tool similar to the one that you use to get the wheel lugs off, that goes on the end of the jack handle.

 

it is usually a little star and i dont think that there are that many combinations. call some friends wih trucks, or if you have a long flat head screwdriver you might be able to spin it. it wont be very tight most likely since gravity is on your side.
