Question What size lugs...

I'm in the process of buying a new set of rims for my 2000 F150 4x4. I know the bolt pattern is 5x135mm, but I need to know what size lug nuts I need to purchase. If I remember correctly, there were two different sizes in this year (12mm and 14mm) but I'm not sure. Thanks for the help.

Yes they could be either. Depends on when it was built. Early ones had the 12mm. Check your lug nuts. They may be stamped with the torque to use. If 100ftlbs, they are 12mm. If 150, they are 14mm. Also I believe only the 14mm use a 21mm socket.

Thanks Kingfish I'll take a look and see if they're stamped. I remember seeing on a previous thread that you could tell by taking a certain socket and seeing if it fit the studs or not. I don't remember which size to use though. Anyone that could tell me how to get a definate on the lug stud size, it would be very helpful...
