need help w/ which tire sizes, which ones to get??

need help w/ which tire sizes, which ones to get??

hey i just got my dad's 2001 f-150 supercrew 4x4 lariat because he went out and got the same one only an 07 model, so he gave me his. i wanna lift it and was thinkin i could get a fabtech 6" lift w/ a 2" body lift, what size tires should i get? will 37s clear? i want good muddin tires, but i want them to have good on-road performance as well. what about the Toyo open country M/Ts? or the Nitto Mud Grapplers (i know they dont have as good on-rd. performance, but i really like those). and about the rims i want mickey thompson Classic II's, like 15's or 16's. could someone offer some advice plz? thanks

If you go with a 6 inch Fabtech and a 3 inch body lift, you can fit 37's or 38's on a 10 inch wide wheel. If you want mud tires, the Toyo MT's would be a far better choice than the Mud Grapplers. THe Mud Grapplers are extremely loud and wear fast. You might also consider the BFG MT KM or Mickey Thompson MTZ.

hmm i'm not sure because the Toyo's are sooooo expensive compared to the MG's

i love my MT Baya claws i have over 25K on them and they still have 60% tread left, they do awsome in the mud and sand, they do great on the street (for a mud tire) cant say enough about them, go with a 16" rim 10" wide good luck.
