another tire question

Ok guys i'm sure this has been answered before but with a little search I didn't get a definit answer. I have a 97 2wd and I need to buy new tires realllly soon. I want to get some 285's but i'm worried that they will rub. I'm planning on a 3 inch body lift just not at the same time. Can I fit the 285's with slight trimming or should I just stay with the 265's thanx guys..

I've seen a few guys post that they fit 285/75-16's on stock 97-03 4x2's by using the OEM wheels.

What are the rest of the tire's dimensions? Are they 17" wheels or 16"? How about the aspect ratio?

Your local tire place should be able to order both and give you a test fit.
