Wheel Size

I have a 2000 F150 reg cab Off Road. I accualy have two questions, one what kind of factory lift does my truck come with because it sits quite a bit higher then other regular F150's. Second it has 17" wheels with 31" tires, I want to put the biggest wheels I can on there, measureing the wheel well it looks like I can put 35's.. maybe and have about 1.5" all the way around, or can I only fit like a 33"? Also what is the smallest wheel I can fit, can I fit 15s? thanks

Is your truck a 4x4? No, 15" wheels will not fit on 97-03's because of the brakes being bigger.

If I'm not mistaken, 16" wheels and 35's might work with the stock wheels and maybe cranking up the t-bars. You might have to trim a little off the lower front valance to clear the tires. I have 16" wheels on my rig but my tires are only about 31" tall. It's stock height.

If you keep your OEM 17 inch wheels, you can fit a 315/70-17 (35x12.50). It is an extremely tight fit and you will have some rubbing on the frame at full steering lock. Personally, I think a 305/70-16 (33x12.50) on a 16x10 inch wheel looks much better on a stock 4x4. You will have to trim a little plastic off your front bumper's lower valance to fit that combo.
As for your truck's ride height. All the 4x4's are the same height. The only difference is the preload setting on the torsion bars and the tire size. If you have 17's, odds are your tires are 265/70-17's (32x10.50).
