Goodyear Wrangler AT/S or Silent armor is what I have always had, great all round tire, lasts long too, 90k km's out of each set. I always had the 265/70/17 in AT/S form, then recently went to 285/70/17 in Silent Armor's. I stand by these, but know you can't go wrong with the BFG's, Nitto or Toyo All terrain's or even the Michelin LTX M/S tires. All of the above seem to rank very close, just personal preference.

I put the Goodyear Silent Armors on right before Thanksgiving. After 1200 miles at Thanksgiving, and around 45 hours of driving (I still don't want to add up the miles) at Christmas, I'm very pleased with them.
