hey all,
as part of a package I will be purchasing (4) 2006 FX4 wheels and (1) BFG Rugged Trail for $250. My budget only dictates about another $150 per tire so I really can't afford the Grapplers or T/O's you all mentioned in my previous "bad week for tires" thread".
So it looks like the only thing I can afford is coincidentally the BFG Rugged Trail in the original 18" size. Is this tire a quality tire? The reason I am hesitant is b/c the Continentals on my XLT now are junk and they were supplied from Ford so I certainly don't want to go buy another cheapy even though it says BFG. Is this BFG an entry level and/or cheapy tire or would this be a nice upgrade from the Continentals?

Yes, the they are a low end, entry level tire. However, they have to be better than the Continentals.

 

I would save and get a better tire, or through the balance on a credit card.
