Tpms

I got a set of 22's for my expedition and now my TPMS keeps going off. Is there a way to bypass this or do I need to get a chip to do it?

Thanks

Did you have the sensors removed from your OEM wheels and installed into the new wheels? My dealership told me the TPMS system cannot be deactivated because it's a "safety feature".

actually the stock valve stems wouldn't fit on the new rims so the sensor keeps going off and i have to keep hitting the reset button on the information center thing.

Ford predominantly uses a sensor module that is banded to the minor diameter of your rim. GM uses the valve stem design for TPMS. Did your vehicle have the TPMS in the valve stem?????

Does anyone have the procedure for re-training the band style sensors? My tire shop broke a sensor swaping tires. They've replaced the sensor, but can't get the system to re-train. They'll pay for a visit to the Ford dealer if we must go that way.

Any help is greatly appreciated

Sorry, but I don't know. You could probably call a Ford dealership and they could tell you.
