Question Rim Issues

I just purchased a 2001 F-150 SuperCrew Lariat 4x4. Truck currently has 17" factory rims. I have brand new Nitto Terra's off my Chevy I traded in, however they are for a 16" rim. I had planned on purchasing a set of 16 x 10 rims but I'm hearing a mix of answers. I've been told that a 16" rim won't fit due to brake and caliper issues.....HELP!

16's will fit fine but thats the lowest you can go. The 2004+ trucks have to have a 17" wheel or bigger.
