Brake squeek, only 2-3 times???
Please forgive me for posting here, as I'm talking about my 04 Freestar, not my X, or former F-150SC. But as the weather cooled off a couple of weeks ago, I noticed the front brakes squeak real bad, but only the first stop or 2. For instance, when leaving the parking lot at work there's a stop/turn, then another stop at the exit gate, then a traffic light, all about 200' feet apart. The brakes squeak at stop #1 & 2, but quits by the traffic light, and will not squeak again for hours, usually the next morning. What could make it squeal real loud, but just twice?
It only has 18K miles, I bought it with 10K 9 months ago. It was never owned by an individual, just the dealer for the first 10K, so no telling how hard they were on the brakes. I would assume it's not the pads reminder tab, as I assume that it would squeak at evey stop, not just the first 2.
Ideas? 18K seems early for a brake job doesn't it?

it's probably just morning rust that can develope on the rotors overnight and just having bone cold pads and rotors. no worries its just annoying, my drums do that every morning on my 97, a big part of it is having semi metallic pads. if it really bugs you switch to ceramics.
