lariat chrome or fx4
Ok so my 2001 Lariat Supercrew 4x4 currently has the stock 17" chrome lariat wheels on it..truck is two tone, truck is gold and has the dark blue trim at the bottom and over the wheel wells...a guy is trying to buy my cooper discoverer stt 33"s from me that are mounted on my truck..he is offering to pay me $450 and just swap rims/tires with me off of his 2003 FX4..hes got the factory rims and tires still on his..im just not sure how those rims would look on my truck...what would you guys do? stick with the chrome lariat wheels or pickup a pretty good deal on the FX4 rims? hes just waiting on me to say yay or nay on the deal and im not sure what to tell him...the cooper discoverers half about half tread life left so im sorta excited about getting to go buy new tires anyways, but im wondering if the FX4 rims make the deal even that much better? So like i said, i want some input, what would you do? stay chrome and stock, or possibly swap to the FX4, lets here some reasons why or why not as well..not just yes or no..
yeah i would probly do it as well, i have the lariat chrome clads and i personally like the looks of them but like the fx4 rims as good or better. plus if you are getting $450 for half worn 33's then you would be comin out on top.
I like the OEM 17" Chrome rims better than the FX4. I had a dealer try to locate a 2003 Screw Lariat w/o the FX4 package and some other specific equipment, but it was too late.
Economically, that's a pretty good trade is the Coopers are half worn.
