Sometimes when I come to a hard stop, my ABS light comes on and wont go off. The thing is that it stops fine, like the abs is working even though the lights are on. Could this mean that there is contaminants in the system? Or that the diff sensor is bad?

 

It can't mean contaminants, but it can mean the diff sensor. But other than checking the fluid level, there's no point guessing - get the code(s) before you buy anything. Even with the ABS deactivated, the brakes will still work as long as the RED brake light isn't on.

 

I too am having a similar problem, except when starting up and going the ABS light comes on intermittently, just when I first start it up in the morning to go to work. I have an accton cp9150 code reader, will this read ABS codes? if not where can I get this scanned?
