widest tire/wheel combo possible without rubbing?
widest tire/wheel combo possible without rubbing?
i'm in the process of picking out new wheels and tires for my '00 Xcab and i'm trying to figure out what is the maximum wheel and tire width that my stock suspension will accomodate, ie. without rubbing on body panels etc. the 22" rims i'm looking at are available in 10" and 12" wide. i would like to go with 12" in the rear b/c i need the traction (blower kit) but i'm afraid i'll have steering issues up front if i go over 10"...plus added weight. also what tire width would you guys recommend? the Nitto's i'm ordering are available in 285/45R22 and 305/45R22.
thanks!
thanks!

hmmm...yeah i am leaning toward the 305's...i guess the widest point on the tire is about 12" which leaves me with about 1" of curb protection facing out. that should prolly give me enough contact area in the rear for my soopercharged engine too. cool beans...i'll post pics when i get these babies on so everyone can determine if they suck or not
