04 F150 and wheel spacers?

Does anyone have any experience with wheel spacers? I am thinking about maybe installing a .5"-1" wheel spacer to cure my problem with the bigger tires. What do you all think?

What problem are you having? I know it relates to rubbing but is it due to the backspacing of the wheels? Or is related to tire width? I viewed your gallery and you have a nice truck. The stance looks great. I have heard of the wheel spacers but have NO experience with them. I really do NOT know of any disadvantage other than possibly balancing issues... Good Luck. BoB

I know several guys who are running around for years with wheel spacers behind 39"+ tires on their huge, lifted F-SuperDuty trucks...

don't let anyone tell you "they're not safe".

as long as you torque them correctly, you're golden

The problem is that I got the 325/65/18's on the stock FX4 wheels. The shaft leading up to the upper control arm is what slightly rubs on the tire.

I just ordered some 1.5" wheel spacers from www.wheeladapter.com. I have heard a lot of good things from all of his customers so we will soon see.
