im now lookin into a non offroad tire but into those
the Cooper Discoverer ATR Tires.
they are $129 for one and the specs are ATR 255/65R17 S-Speed Rated 110S .
right now im not too informed about what all those numbers mean, so maybe could someone explain lol , and tell me what will work with my truck and what wont
i know the r17 means the wheel size and mine are the 17 inch steel rims
i think the 255 has to do wit hthe width or height(?)
my current tires are the hankooks:o and heres a pic

the specs on them are P235/75R17 108S
also itd be a big help if you could tell me what my limitations on tires are with no lift and a 4x4 like how big i can go within the P stats so i can know what to look for when im browsing.
a local tire guy i have relied on before for tires is saying only a few tire brands will work with the wheel because of something ford did but im not sure if what he is talking about lol. thanks in advance

Alright, the 255 is the width in mm.....and the second number 65 is the aspect ratio, it is figured as 65% of the width (255) to determine the height of the sidewall. If you have a 4x4 those 255's will fit. The biggest size you can "comfortably" go without any modifications would be a 285/70/17.
