What Backspacing For 4in Rancho?

I am fixing to buy a rancho lift for a 2005 f150, I am going to go with 35x12.5R18 tires, I am thinking 9 or 10in wide what backspacing would be good? Anyone got pictures of there truck with the rancho? I have seen a few of your all's trucks with rancho's, but most of the pictures dont mention what backspacing and size rim you got. Any help would be great.

Thanks in advance

Kale, I was wondering the same thing-been reading for a couple of weeks now and finally ordered everything. I decided to go with Eagle 186's, they are 9" wide with 5" of B/S with 35x13X18's Nitto Terra Grapplers mounted on them. They were test fitted at the shop the other day and did not clear with a 2 1/2 inch leveling kit-real bummer! So, I ordered the Rancho 4" lift and it is going to be here Wednesday. Out of curiousity I brought 2 of the rims home with me this weekend so I could try the fronts again to see how they look. The stick out about 2 1/2" inches, a little more then what I wanted but nothing I can't live with.

On the back spacing question; Rancho designed the kit with a 9" rim, 6" inches of B/S and a 35X12.5X18 tire. That really limted my choices! The other rim I considered is the Mickey Classic II-which is 10" wide and has 6" of B/S. Now, a happy medium for me would have been something like a 9" rim with 5.5 inches of B/S and a 34" BFG (that would have cleared without a need for more lift.) It is really hard to decide what you want when you don't have it all in front of you; to bad tires and rims are like a shoe store huh?

i also ordered the rancho kit. i was wonderin if i would be able to fit 20" rims on it with Nitto Mud Grappler LT35x12.50 R20? the rims would prob be 20x10 or 20x9.5 bolt pattern with 5” BS. which, if any would fit? thanks guys

I'd use a 9 inch wide wheel with at least 5 inches of backspacing. 5.5 or 6 inches of backspacing would be better.

I have the Rancho and used my stock rims with 35" BFG MT's, no problem of course. I now have a 3" PA BL and 20X8.5 (+25) with 37" tires with no rubbing. Rancho doesn't increase front track width that much (like Fabtech and Procomp) so the truck look more like a stock truck just bigger (which I like). My 35's on stock 18's were fairly close to the upper control arm, now with the new rims and tires it is not as close. Take a look at my gallery, my rims are reasonably tucked under the truck, but they are 8.5 not 9 or 10" rims. Have fun with the new lift.
