Wider tire fitment

Hello all,
I have a 97 F150 with lots of lift. I am currently running 38x12.50 with no problems. It is time to get some new tires and I am wanting to go with a 38x14.50. My tires as of now are really close to rubbing the knuckles so I was going to get some 2" wheel spacers to space them out. My question is this. With the wider tire am I going to be rubbing them on the back of my wheel well and the plastic on the bottom of the bumper?

More than likely, yes. I would stay away from the wheel spacers. A couple of members here and several at FTW are running 38x15.50 tires so I don't think you need them. Most of them have 6 inch Fabtech lifts with a 3 inch body lift.

Exactly, Everyone is running fabtech which has a nice curved knuckle. I am running a superlift. The back of my tires right now don't even clear 1/4 inch from the lift knuckle. Actually, I had a joint go bad and it laid the tire over enough to put a nice ring around it from where it rubbed. I absolutely have to run wheel spacers to fit them. I don't know why wheel spacers get a bad wrap if you use the correct kind. Anyways, my question wasn't about the spacers anyhow.
