Could someone tell me if the spare tire carrier for a 98 Ford Explorer would be the same as the 97 F150 carrier?? I have the off-road package if that makes a difference. The carrier on my truck I just purchased had been cut off and removed. Thanks!

 

I found a carrier on the web from a site called "uneedapart.com". A salvage yard in SC had one for $25. Easy to remove the old and install the new, 2 bolts. Now my spare is back up underneath and out of the box!! Great web site to find parts. I've used this several times and found needed items at the right price!

 

skidoofan you must be from up north so speaking you said box last time I herd that I was in South Dakota as for the tire carier dont realy know I would think so though.
