Suggested wheel width for 285/65/18 bfg?

I'm new to this site and wanted to get some oppinions on new wheels for my 04 fx4. I currently have brand new 285/65/18 bfg a/t's on my factory fx4 rims (7.5" i belive) and would like something a bit wider. BFG's website suggests an 8-10" wide rim for these particular tires, but 10 seems way to wide for an approx. 11.5" tire and 8's are too close to factory. Would u all suggest 9's? Any suggestion on a particular style of wheel? Thanks.

I have been looking at Eagle Alloy 186's-they are a 9" rim with 5"'s of back spacing. Great looking rim-kind of a Mickey Thompson Classic II knock off.

10's actually look great on that tire. However, I went with a 17x9 on my 03' Screw.

I would get the 9" wheels. Those tires will fit on the stock width wheels anyway.

The 9" wheels would give you room to upgrade should you choose to go bigger later down the line.

I have pics on my dads camera back at his house. I'll try and get those up in the next day or two for ya. I really like the way it looks now, but i'm always looking for more mods to make my truck a bit different from the rest.

My truck is completly stock. It doesn't have a leveling ket or anything on it yet and it doesn't rub at all in any way even at full lock. Looks much tougher than the factory tires and does great in the mud.

My truck has the new 285/65/20 BFG K/O's on a 9" rim. So far I really like this setup.
