Front end shakes after hitting breaks

Hello all i have a 97 f150 and i had the front end worked on had all the ball joints replaced tie rod ends replaced. and now when i hit the breaks the front end shakes i thought it could be the rotors being out of wacked but there not. the mech can't explain what is wrong could it be the shocks but it only shakes when i hit the breaks.. so confused

If it only shakes when you hit the brakes, then its the brakes. How long have the current brakes been on there? I'd bet that they are "warped". It may not be much according to your mechanic, but even a little bit can be felt.

I have to agree that the rotors are the culprit. I just did the front brakes on my truck and once and awhile with the old rotors, I could feel that they were warped "very slightly" by having a shake in the steering wheel. So for around 50 bucks each, I replaced the rotors and have very nice smooth braking

If they've been measured and don't have excessive runout (warping), then it's an uneven transfer layer:

Happens a lot.
Try removing the existing transfer layer, then bed your pads.
It's free and relatively easy to do.
