Unusual noise while braking

Recently while braking I've heard a winding sound and a thud when I come to a complete stop. This occurs at random on dry pavement (not the normal anti-lock pulse), it appears to have something to do with the brakes as that is the only time it occurs. this has happened maybe 5 times in the past 2 weeks. I intend to bring it into the dealer as it is a 2005 with only 9000 miles. I'm expecting the "we could not duplicate the problem" as this is only an occasional thing. Any thoughts on what to suggest to the dealer?

Thanks!

Only advice I can offer is give them as much info as possible......how long the veh is driven before it happens, if it happens between certain speeds, etc. Try to be as specific as possible. We (at my work) have to do the same thing....get as much info from driver as possible.
