Angry removal of rear disc rotor -2004 s-crew?

OK - I thought I'd get clever and put better rotors and pads on om 2004 screw 4x4. bought slotted EBC rotors and pads for all 4 corners.

Fronts were a piece of cake to change - figured the same for the back.

Caliper came off real easy - the REAR ROTOR does not budge. Does anyone know the secret to removal? figured I'd put it all back together before I broke out the mallet and beat the hell out of the rotor.

E-brake was Off.
Car was in neutral - wheel hub / rotor would turn freely
Caliper was off.
(I even tried adjusting that little worm ring that operates the ebrake drum - but figured I'd had enough)

Is there some mystery switch or trick?

Any suggestions or tricks would be great.

You will probably have to back off the e-brake, just like a drum brake.

Kingfish - I can't reply directly to you for some reason. Is that the little adjuster wheel behind the rubber flange in the dust shield? It must take a buch of turns - do you know if it would be counter clockwise or clockwise?

That's it. If I remember correctly, it's just like a star wheel on a drum, just doesn't have an automatic adjuster. Not sure which direction. If it gets tighter, you will know it's the wrong way. You can check with your e-brake. If the pedal goes down further you are loosening.

Thanks - I'll spend another hour or two fussing around on the floor tonight. If that doesn't, work I'm throwing in the towel and going to a shop with my tail betwixt my legs. But at least I tried!
