New brakes and new questions

Is there a way to see if the front brake line has collapsed or has internal problems without me pulling it off? When you install new brake pads should your wheels be hot (not hot enough to smell) if everything is functioning properly? I have a 99 F150 that I have had problems with the pads sticking (Drivers Side) since I put new pads in. I just installed new slide pins and that seems to help with most of the problems but the wheels are still pretty hot when i get done driving long distances.

Thanks!

Fairly normal for them to be hot especially with new pads. They are constantly rubbing slightly anyhow even when the brale is not applied. If you can spin the wheel at least 1 -2 times with it off the ground you're fine. It will loosen up after a cpl thousand miles. If your caliper pistons sucked back in real good then they are not sticking, you can put some special caliper lube on them but DON'T get any on the pads or rotor.
