new to the site , 1st time F150 OWNER needs help

Im new to the site, love it so far. I just bought a 2005 F150 STX . I bought 20" INCUBUS BANSHEE wheels and 275/55/20 FALKEN STZ-04 tires. I know these will fit in place of my stock 255/70/17's , but will I need some kind of edge tuner or some other tuner ? What do you think about a 2" level to even out the back? THANKS

welcome to the site- sounds like you've got things figured out- all you got to do now is read, and then of course post pics!!! edge, or xcal2 tuned by Troyer performance are the two most popular tuners here- so go down to the chips/tuners forum and read up, and then the leveling kit- it definitely works great- i've got a 2.5" so go down to the suspension forum, or most likely the 04-06 and search there and you will have a TON of posts to help you decide...

I think the truck would look better with a set of lowering shackles without a doubt. Also, you don't have to recalibrate your computer, but it is a good idea, because your speedometer/odometer will be off slightly depending on the difference in the height of your new tires.

Thanks Guys

HEY WANDELL. tHE TIRE DIFFRENCE IN HEIGHT IS LIKE .85" WILL THAT REALLY MAKE A BIG DIFFRENCE? SO LEVELING IT 2 - 2.5" IS JUST LOWERING THE REAR END?

well theres leveling kits which bring the front end up to resolve the rake, (which give you a more aggressive/off-road stance...OR you use lowering shackles to drop the rear end to resolve the rake- for a more low profile/street stance...

No, that won't make a big difference. On my Screw, I went from an OEM 30 inch tire to a 33 with no problems at all. My speedometer is just off 5 mph at 60 mph. With the street tire/wheel package you picked, I'd level the truck by lowering the rear with lowering shackles rather than lift the front with a spacer.

I'm not sure, you may want to check in the 04-06 forum. I recall some members suggesting getting the ones that come with pinion angle shims also. Apparantly, the new F-150's are extremely sensitive to pinion angle.
